Natural products that provide a feature of beauty, individuality, durability and warmth…"
Our oak flooring boards are machined to widths of 140mm, 175mm and 225mm, in lengths ranging from 1.5m to 3m.
The boards are planed, tongue and grooved with ends matched (for easy laying between joists). We machine stress-relief grooves on the underside, to minimise the possibility of warping.
The laid floor needs a minimum of sanding owing to the excellent machine finish of the boards, maintained by the stringent quality control of our own production facility.
All boards are kiln-dried to a moisture level of between 10% and 12%, which with acclimatisation, suits the humidity ranges of most buildings.
Please note that advice should be sought before laying solid wooden flooring with under-floor heating.
Adding character and style to either domestic or commercial schemes, our oak flooring gives a distinguished, hardwearing, low-maintenance surface that is a true sign of quality.
We actively attempt to ensure that all our new timber is obtained from sustainable sources. We only purchase stocks originating from managed forests where, as trees are harvested, new trees are replanted. We do not manufacture from rainforest timber.
Pine has been used over the centuries for flooring, owing to its durability and character, and offers a cost-effective alternative to the more expensive floors available.
We supply a range of tongue and grooved boards in various new and reclaimed softwoods. Widths available are from 150mm to 200mm. The reclaimed timber we offer is generally from demolished Victorian factories and hospitals, where only the finest quality softwood was used. The new pine consists mainly of pitch pine and douglas fir, all of which can be treated with a variety of finishes to suit every environment.
